“The first bit of the process is to outline the flag I’m going to do on a polyboard, at the moment I’m working with A2 boards. Once this is done then I will go searching for the right colours, the perfect blend is what I’m always looking for. Then comes the cutting and pasting, which is the hard and tedious part. A good podcast or a new album usually helps at this stage. After this is complete then I will finish the collage with an acrylic gel and move on to the next one. I‘m not emotionally attached to my work!”"
The exhibition "Peace by Piece" will start on Thursday 26th August and end on Wednesday 15th September.

First Solo Exhibition... Papier Collé
9th September - 14th October 2010,
@ St Vitus. Gallery (Prague)
6 Kingsland Road,
Kareem Buchannon present's... Papier Collé
The writer and humorist Mark Twain once said, "one doesn't really understand the power and importance of their nations flag until they see it abroad", with that in mind, using recycled papers and old nightclub flyers, through the mediums of an uncountable and nearly toxic amount UHU, polyboards and acrylic gel, I have set about to create 5 unique collages that I hope will stimulate the eye and touch whoever feels represented by them.
